Acqualina Resort & Spa invites guests to The Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Fest Kick Off Event with jazz composer/pianist Tony Sona at Piazzetta Marketplace and Restaurant on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 8:00PM to 11:00PM. Leading his classic jazz trio of piano, bass, and drums, this Juilliard trained composer / pianist offers his listeners many moods and a broad range of rhythms by incorporating swing, standards, Latin, blues, ballads, arrangements of contemporary songs, originals from his CDs “If I Were You”, “Easy Does It” and the Arabesque Records EP release “Twilight” in every set. The Tony Sona Trio is joined by special guest vocalist Gail Robin.
The 5th Annual Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Festival, set amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, will feature contemporary jazz pianist and composer David Benoit, and will showcase local jazz artists with events throughout the weekend. Produced by the City of Sunny Isles Beach in partnership with the Sunny Isles Beach Tourism and Marketing Council, the celebratory event will benefit Joshua’s Heart Foundation and Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Tickets for Kick Off Event on Friday are $65 per person (beverages, tax and gratuity excluded) featuring a three-course dinner and lounge table seating or $25 per person for bar area seating.
