We are delighted to introduce Lisa Iaquez as Acqualina Resort\u2019s<\/a> new Regional Director of Sales overseeing the North American leisure market. Join us as we delve into a captivating Q&A with Lisa, where she shares insights into her background and passions.<\/p>\n

1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and where you are from?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I hail from a family of developers who owned various hospitality businesses including a hotel and travel agency on the Italian island of Sicily. Most of my life and career has been in NYC where I have worked on property and in corporate offices of luxury and lifestyle hotel companies such as Baccarat Hotel, 1 Hotel Central Park, Taj Resorts and Palaces, Jumeirah Hotel Group. I also worked on the client side in events at a NYC hedge fund consulting firm, Merrill Lynch, and Estee Lauder. Besides Sicily, NY and now Miami, I have lived in India, Turkey, and Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

2. What attracted you to the position of Regional Director of Sales at Acqualina Resort?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Acqualina is the epitome of classic luxury hospitality with a team of professionals that complement it. It is truly an oasis in the Miami area that boasts the highest caliber of service and experiences and naturally I felt at home with my personal and professional background.<\/p>\n

3. What do you enjoy most about working in the sales field?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am equally a businessperson and hospitality enthusiast and my career in hotel sales allows me to combine both interests. I thrive on experiencing growth and success and being a part of offering people an experience of their lifetime.<\/p>\n

4. What is your favorite food?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anything Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Indian\/Himalayan.<\/p>\n

5. What are some of your favorite hobbies that you enjoy in your free time?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I enjoy reading, being active in the outdoors, yoga and meditation on the beach, enjoy dining out and spending time with loved ones.<\/p>\n

6. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kingdom of Bhutan- it\u2019s been named the happiest country in the world, it\u2019s an unadulterated spiritual oasis, and it looks like you\u2019re in heaven on earth.<\/p>\n
