But while Il Mulino creates a more traditionally elegant atmosphere with its intimate dining room and exquisite cuisine, AQ Chop House features approachable, steakhouse-inspired fare in an Italian residential setting by the Atlantic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Chop House, I think the kids are going to be more comfortable,\u201d says Chef Mazza. \u201cAlso, it has more light and is more open.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheep\u2019s milk ricotta, branzino crudo with blood orange and fris\u00e9e, grilled octopus, and short rib ravioli are just a few of the delectable offerings on the menu crafted by <a href=\"https:\/\/lifestyle.acqualinaresort.com\/michele-mazza-dishes-on-homemade-pasta-staying-power-and-il-mulino-at-acqualina\/\">Chef Mazza<\/a> and his team of 10 years. \u201cWe researched the best meat, the best pasta,\u201d he says. \u201cWe then combined a little sushi with the pasta and the meat \u2013 it\u2019s a beautiful menu.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7462 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.acqualinaresort.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Tuna_Tartar_AQ_Chop_House.jpg\" alt=\"Tuna Tartar \" width=\"730\" height=\"390\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/acqualina.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Tuna_Tartar_AQ_Chop_House.jpg 730w, https:\/\/acqualina.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Tuna_Tartar_AQ_Chop_House-300x160.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 730px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 730\/390;\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7462 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.acqualinaresort.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Tuna_Tartar_AQ_Chop_House.jpg\" alt=\"Tuna Tartar \" width=\"730\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/acqualina.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Tuna_Tartar_AQ_Chop_House.jpg 730w, https:\/\/acqualina.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Tuna_Tartar_AQ_Chop_House-300x160.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>From the tuna tartar with wasabi and capers to the eggplant-stuffed ricotta and mascarpone, dishes can be enjoyed alone or shared with the entire table \u2013 which is Chef Mazza\u2019s recommendation. The sushi menu by Yakko-San is extensive, with soon-to-be favorites like the AQ Roll with spicy tuna, avocado, crunch, salmon, jalapeno, and spicy sauce.<\/p>\n<p>The prime cuts of meat, crudos, and fresh seafood juxtapose the Atlantic Ocean in a beautiful space designed by the Miami-based <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saladinodesign.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saladino Design Studios<\/a>. Complementing the signature Mediterranean style of the resort, the restaurant combines bold, 1970s European designs with 19<sup>th<\/sup> century Italian residential classicism, resulting in an atmosphere that\u2019s simply irresistible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day is beautiful [in Miami],\u201d says Chef Mazza. \u201cEspecially the hotel, right by the water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The location was actually part of the inspiration behind the menu, along with Chef Mazza\u2019s desire to take a traditional British chophouse and make it more complex by incorporating creative Italian cuisine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6965 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.acqualinaresort.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Crab_Cake_AQ_Chop_House.jpg\" alt=\"Crab Cake\" width=\"730\" height=\"390\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/acqualina.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Crab_Cake_AQ_Chop_House.jpg 730w, https:\/\/acqualina.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Crab_Cake_AQ_Chop_House-300x160.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 730px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 730\/390;\" \/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6965 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.acqualinaresort.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Crab_Cake_AQ_Chop_House.jpg\" alt=\"Crab Cake\" width=\"730\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/acqualina.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Crab_Cake_AQ_Chop_House.jpg 730w, https:\/\/acqualina.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Crab_Cake_AQ_Chop_House-300x160.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>The produce comes directly from Miami as much as possible, and fresh rosemary and basil are incorporated into many of the dishes. \u201cFor most of our ingredients,\u201d he says, \u201cI\u2019m happy with what Miami can provide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the dessert menu you will find the likes of Italian ricotta and pistachio cake, as well as a selection of kosher gelatos and sorbets, while the cocktail list offers refreshing creations like La Mure with blackberries, mint, and lime juice.<\/p>\n<p>Chef Mazza himself doesn\u2019t have a favorite dish, but with a passion for fishing and market-fresh meats and produce, he does gravitate toward certain dishes. \u201cThe seafood is amazing,\u201d he says. \u201cThe ricotta is unbelievable. It\u2019s all good.
