Director of OperationsSybrandt Windell joined Acqualina Resort & Residences as Director of Food & Beverage in 2017 and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2021. In his new role, Sybrandt oversees the daily room operations and the food & beverage operations for the award-winning, ultra-luxury resort located in Sunny Isles Beach. A key strategic focus is delivering a consistent level of service and achieving excellent guest experiences throughout the resort. Sybrandt also collaborates with the restaurant teams at Il Mulino New York and Ke-uH Japanese fusion restaurant and supervises all outdoor operations at the three oceanfront pools and beach. Prior to Acqualina, Sybrandt was Deputy General Manager at the Wheatleigh Hotel in Lenox, Massachusetts. He also held executive positions at the Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa, and the Thaba Ya Batswana Eco Lodge and Spa in South Africa. As a native of South Africa, Sybrandt has a passion for travel, sports, and outdoor activities. He lives with his wife and son in Aventura.
