This past Thursday, January 28, Acqualina had the pleasure to welcome Miss World 2015, Mireia Lalaguna Royo, on her first visit to Miami.
23-year old Lalaguna Royo is the first Spanish contestant to take home the title of Miss World.
The exceptional beauty exemplifies the ethos of the Miss World pageant – Beauty with a Purpose. “First and foremost, we dedicate our time to travel and aid people in need; but we are also responsible for fundraising the finances necessary to support these relief projects” MLR
During her stay, Mireia had the chance to visit our sister property, The Mansions at Acqualina as well as the temporary sales center for our exciting new project, The Estates at Acqualina.
As soon as Mireia entered The Mansions Wine Room she rushed to the piano and told us of her great passion for music, she even played a few selections. There seems to be nothing this multi-talented beauty can’t do; after mesmerizing us with her piano playing, she showed us some great swings in the golf simulator.
Mireia was captivated by the current property and the wide variety of amenities if offers, and was blown away when we told her about the quantity and the quality of the amenities planned for The Estates. She can’t wait to return after construction is completed to skate in our indoor ice skating wonderland, bowl in our luxurious bowling alley, and to feel the fresh ocean breeze permeating our 5.6 acres of lush Mediterranean-style gardens.
After taking Mireia for a quick drive around Sunny Isles in our in-house red Rolls Royce we asked a few questions and learned a little bit more about her ambitions and aspirations. During the interview we discovered that at the moment Mireia is focused on appreciating and enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that she has been granted, but after completing her year in the crown, Mireia hopes to continue her pharmacological studies. When she is not busy helping others and when her busy agenda allows, she likes to stay active and practice a variety sports; she particularly enjoys outdoor activities – running by the beach and mountain biking are among her favorites.
Mireia’s poise and beauty are breathtaking, but she is approachable and fun to be around. While she was only able to stay with us for a few of days, she promised to return with her family and friends so they can all enjoy Acqualina together. First on her agenda next for her next visit are the amazing treatments at The Spa by ESPA. Mireia is also looking forward to seeing the completed Gallery Sales Center for The Estates at Acqualina.
We have no doubt Mireia will have an amazing year as Miss World. We look forward to her next visit to Acqualina.
