Valentine’s Day at Il Mulino New York

By Michelle Payer

One of South Florida’s most opulent, yet relaxed restaurants takes patrons on a journey to Italy this Valentine’s Day. Three outdoor “Romeo and Juliet” balconies perched above Il Mulino New York’s terrace create romantic private dining alcoves overlooking the pool and beach, while indoors, tables glow amidst tapestries and wrought-iron chandeliers. Executive Chef Michele Mazza and his dedicated team of culinary masters have created a special four-course menu for one-night only, February 14. Appetizers include Burrata with tomato and balsamic glaze, traditional Caesar salad, grilled octopus with Campari tomatoes and black olives, and a choice of pasta including Ravioli ai Porcini made with champagne truffle cream sauce. Main course selections include grilled halibut served with asparagus, Vitello all Marsala sautéed with mushrooms and Marsala wine sauce, and Filetto di Manzo with Barolo wine sauce, accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes.  For dessert, couples can share a sampler featuring Italian-style favorites, including Tiramisu, Italian cheesecake, Torta Al Cioccolato, and a glass of bubbly to toast the special evening. The four-course menu includes a complimentary glass of Prosecco and begins at $200 per adult plus tax, gratuity, and beverages. Reservations may be made by phoning 305-466-9191.
