Whether you find yourself continuously browsing the web for wedding inspiration or you’re fully focused on making your specific wedding dreams a reality, you’ve come to the right place now that you’re here with us.

We’ve enlisted the help of Acqualina’s Catering Manager and Wedding Expert, Christine Perez, to get her take on emerging trends, up-and-coming wedding themes, and the always helpful wedding tips and tricks. Read on for her advice on how to incorporate these ideas into your own wedding day.

Theme: Romance

Floral Prints and neutrals are still wildly popular this year and aren’t expected to disappear anytime soon. If you’re going for that dreamy, fanciful vibe, I suggest incorporating gorgeous metals on your tables and using agate stones for your place settings – wispy fabrics help complete this romantic look.

Continue the theme by having your bridal party walk down the aisle in rose gold metallic dresses with modern floral bouquets – or if you’re daring enough, charming floral printed dresses.

Décor: Greenery

As the pantone color of the year, greenery is really making an impact. From vintage style garlands sweeping across the table to large elaborate chandeliers, this trend is making its mark in classic and modern weddings alike. To ensure this look is both chic and glamourous, pair the greenery with elegant gold accents, oversized chandeliers or baroque details. If you want to stick with a romantic, but rustic feel, you can pair the greenery with burgundy and pale pinks.

Drama: Making a Grand Exit

For added drama, make a grand exit. Whether it be a beautiful, vintage car, motorcycle or even a helicopter, why not make your Goodbye as grand as your ‘I DO’?

Tips & Tricks to Ensure You Have a Headache-Free Wedding Day

Reflect on your guest list. Your guests all have something in common- you! Aside from that, many people may be meeting each other for the first time so try to incorporate entertainment or music that will break the ice and have everyone enjoying themselves all night long!

Hire a Day of Wedding Coordinator. A great ‘day of’ coordinator will begin the coordination process before the actual wedding day. This person will ask for your vendors list and will communicate with all parties – do make sure to fill them in on all of your ‘must haves.’ A detailed floor plan and timeline should be made so that they can ensure your big day goes off without a hitch. Also include a post-wedding packing list to make sure you have your cake topper, knives, champagne flutes and all other mementos before you make your grand escape.

And finally, ask your caterer to pack you a ‘to-go’ box with late night snacks. Most couples forget to eat at their wedding only to arrive at their wedding night destination with a yen for a burger. Have the caterer pack you a few of those cocktail hour sliders and some sweet treats to make your wedding night even sweeter.
