Real Weddings at Acqualina – Chloe and Justin Seguev

When Chloe and Justin began planning their dream wedding, they knew they wanted it to be intimate, destination affair. As a resident of Acqualina, Chloe knew Acqualina’s charming atmosphere and stunning seaside location was the perfect setting for the most romantic day of their lives.

Recently featured in Weddings Illustrated Magazine, we are delighted to share a Real Acqualina Wedding Q&A with you, as told by Chloe and Justin.

What was the theme of your wedding? Elegant beachfront, modern romantic

And Chloe, who designed your gown? Romona Keveza Legends

Honeymoon Location? Tahiti, more specifically the islands of Moorea, Bora Bora, and Tahas

Favorite part of your wedding day? There were so many favorite parts, it’s hard to choose just one! For Chloe – I think the favorite part for me was waiting with my dad to walk down the aisle once the ceremony began. Those few moments spent alone with him were just so special to me and I will never forget them. Another favorite though was when we finally said I Do and Justin kissed me – he dipped me and knocked my veil completely off! There is a great photo of this, it was a great moment. For Justin – aside from marrying Chloe the best part for me was having everyone we are closest to and love most there to celebrate this special time in our lives with us, it was truly a beautiful night that we will never forget.

How did you two meet? We met in Montreal (where we’re both from) about 10 years ago through a mutual friend at the time. We instantly hit it off and were drawn to one another, but we officially started dating only about a year later than that. We’ve been together ever since and now both live and work in New York where I have lived for the last 5 years, and Justin for the last 3.

Can you describe the décor? The reception took place in a clear tent outside, under the stars, by the beach. The tall flower arrangements were definite showstoppers, the unique black and white rectangular dance floor was so different than anything we had seen before, and the chandeliers hanging in the tent created a very romantic feeling. The décor was absolutely stunning. We didn’t do favors, but we did have white chocolate dipped candy apples with white sparkle candy at each place setting for guests, everyone loved them!

Any additional details you’d like to share? Our wedding was very intimate – we had about 100 people there, but it truly felt much smaller than that. Guests were only our very closest friends and family, which we tried to involve as much as possible in the ceremony! Both of our nieces walked down the aisle (one was a flower girl, and one was in the arms of the best man – Justin’s brother – as she was only 3 months old), and both of our grandmother’s walked down the aisle as well. The night was truly a celebration and absolutely everyone danced the entire night, young and old, from beginning to end!
