Surf and More with Sunny Isles Beach Water Sports

By Erica Corsano

You don’t have to be the adventurous type to partake in water sports. In fact, Sunny Isles Beach Water Sports caters to all levels of risk-takers! From complimentary surfing introductions, to boogie boarding or group kayaking excursions, the family-owned water sports experts offer aquatic activities for all ages.

Founded a decade ago, the couple-owned excursion, education and activity company aims to show everyone that they can have fun on the water— whether they are six or 60-plus!

Owners Soety and Adam Lucas, (and their team of water sports pros), offer group lessons, paddleboard tours, private Jet Ski lessons, and more. Guests can also opt to lease out boogie boards, surfboards, paddleboards, and jet skis.

Guests can partake in a complimentary water sports clinic every morning at 9am.

The Lucases say that electric surfboards have been a hit with guests of all ages, especially with 13-plus teens. Surfing lessons are also a hit with teens and adults and geographically, the area is the perfect spot to learn to surf, as the waves break really well there thanks to sandbars.

They advise folks to not worry about falling off their board, as the shallow water makes for an ideal atmosphere to learn and have fun in. What’s more, the entire staff are all lifeguard certified and collectively, have over 60 years of experience.

If fishing or boating are more your speed, that too can be organized. Soety and Adam consider themselves vacation facilitators and are available to help you organize your dream water activity.
