Our CEO’s Top 10 Fall Travel Essentials

Deborah Yager Fleming

As the CEO for the Acqualina brand, board member for The Leading Hotels of the World, industry leader in luxury travel, and philanthropist for the I Have a Dream Foundation – not to mention devoted wife and mother – Deborah Yager Fleming values every waking moment of her time, as she does not have much time to spare.

When she’s not in Miami creating new lifestyle experiences, mingling with resort guests and tending to employee needs, Deborah is traveling across the globe as the brand ambassador for Acqualina. Within a day, Deborah can easily find herself heading from an executive board meeting to a press conference and rounding things off with a gala dinner. So, how does she pack a wardrobe that translates from business to black tie?

As we approach the fall season, we sat down with the mastermind behind the brand for an inside scoop on what she’ll be packing in her suitcase this season. Here are her top 10 fall travel essentials:

A few additional thoughts…

I also love ballerina flats and every season I buy at least 3 difference styles. I am currently wearing Michael Kors patent leather pumps that are super comfortable. My next purchases will be MaxMara suede flat pumps and Giuseppe Zanotti black ballet flats.

I love buying dresses that can be worn during the day and pass for cocktail attire in the evening, a must-have for fall travel.

My carry on essentials are:

• International Adapter (I actually travel with at least 2)
• Noise-cancelling headphones
• Antibacterial hand wipes
• Emergen-C 1,000 mg Vitamin C

Packing tips:
I prefer to fold my clothes than roll; I also place smaller items on the bottom of my suitcase and longer pieces like pants and gowns on top. When packing, I select clothing based on my itinerary and I stick to it to avoid over packing.
