With its enviable weather and inimitable beachfront location, Acqualina was literally made for al fresco experiences — none more memorable than outdoor dining. And thanks to recent openings and enhancements, the resort has never offered more variety or reasons to indulge. The newest must-dine is clearly Avra Miami, an offshoot of the beloved Avra Greek dining mini-empire from New York. Recently opened in the new Estates at Acqualina and connected via sky bridge to the main resort, Avra Miami serves fresh, inventive, inspired Greek and Mediterranean cuisine in a tranquil al fresco, stylishly-designed setting.
While Avra might win for newness, Acqualina abounds with equally inviting open-air dining spots. For Italians, there’s Il Mulino – another New York import – for world-class Italian cuisine and wines. All are served with a distinctive sense of Old World flair that is equally appropriate for families or date nights thanks to stellar pool-side and ocean views. Then there’s Ke-uH, for classic Japanese – from traditional sushi and rolls (including many infused with truffles) to more inventive, fusion-style fare such as tuna tacos and salmon pizza directly in a dining room that is directly fronting the Atlantic. Costa Grill, meanwhile, is not only on the beach – it’s the only restaurant in all of Miami entirely adjacent to the beach. The mod-Florida menu delivers all-day classics from a light and healthy tuna carpaccio to some of the best burgers in town.
