Spring Break

By David Kaufman

Acqualina is always a great place to vacation, but this year the resort has never felt better – especially for Spring Break. Along with new restaurants and the expanded AcquaMarine Kids Club, Acqualina has recently emerged from a series of elegant upgrades and enhancements. The experience begins literally at moment one, via the resort’s newly transformed main lobby – which now features a subtle-yet-stunning new color palette of aqua-inspired emerald green, enlivened by white touches and finished off with black millwork. Handmade Nepalese rugs, smoky glass accents and ample Brazilian marble complete the lobby’s luxe touches.

Beyond the lobby, Acqualina guest-rooms, bathrooms and suites have all been dreamily updated. In the baths, new marble flooring, wall-to-wall Italian Molteni vanities and LED-lit Italian sconces create soothing, spa-like experiences. Beds, meanwhile, feature new silky soft linens and champagne-trimmed duvet covers, while solid wooden chairs and posh-yet-practical sofa beds deliver even more doses of comfort. The rooms are accessed and entered via a private foyer-like experience punctuated by bronze-toned carpets and eye-catching zebra-wood furniture. Custom-crafted wallpaper has been devised with an abstract aquatic design, which – like every element of Acqualina – helps bring the outside inside, the shimmering Atlantic ocean into each room.
