ACQUALINA ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH GENERAL MILLS' BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION PROGRAM

South Florida's Award-Winning AAA Five Diamond Award Resort to Raise Funding for Miami's Hibiscus Elementary School

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL (November 10, 2010) - Acqualina Resort & Spa, South Florida’s ultra-luxuryretreat, is proud to announce its partnership with General Mills’ Box Tops for Education program in support of Hibiscus Elementary School in Miami’s Dade County. Acqualina has pledged to work with its employees, hotel guests and the local Miami community to collect, organize, and submit box tops found on a variety of General Mills products in an effort to help raise funding for school supplies and enhancement programs for the children at Hibiscus Elementary. The launch of the partnership was announced last night at “I Have a Dream” Foundation Gala by hosts Eddie, Jules and Stephanie Trump, owners of Acqualina Resort & Spa.

“We are honored to be part of this special movement and provide the children at Hibiscus with additional tools and resources that can make a difference in their education,” said Acqualina’s General Manager, Sase Gjorsovski. “Our guests are thrilled and excited knowing that part of their luxury experience at Acqualina supports local Miami children and their future.”

Since the program’s launch by the General Mills Company in 1996, the Box Tops for Education program has raised more than $300 million for schools across the country. Guests of Acqualina Resort & Spa as well as hotel employees and local residents will be encouraged to clip box tops from some of their favorite General Mills products from brands like Betty Crocker, Nature Valley, Welch’s, and Pillsbury and household items from Kleenex, Huggies and Ziploc. Hibiscus Elementary will receive 10 cents for each Box Top redeemed to be used towards computers, books, and classroom renovations. To further its participation, Acqualina invites guests to raise additional money for the school through Box Top for Education’s online Marketplace. Up to 20 eBoxTops can be earned with every $10 spent online at over 100 eligible retailers including Bloomingdale’s, Apple, Nordstrom, Expedia, Starbucks, Victoria’s Secret, and Target. Acqualina will present a check to Hibiscus Elementary School with money earned through this fundraising effort at the “I Have a Dream” Foundation Gala in 2011.

Through its partnership with Box Tops for Education, Acqualina joins a passionate community that has come together to help create change in Miami schools. With the adoption of Hibiscus Elementary, which hosts 600 students from pre-Kindergarten through the fifth grade, Acqualina reaffirms its dedication to childhood education. Acqualina is the first resort in the United States to raise funds for a local school through the General Mills’ Box Tops for Education program.
