In the Community

We continuously strive to connect with, uplift and enrich our community through our partnerships and initiatives.

Sea Turtle Conservation Program

During Florida’s sea turtle season, Acqualina proudly partnered with the Miami-Dade County Sea Turtle Conservation Program to provide our hotel guests and residents with a private nighttime hatchling release experience. They learned about these beautiful creatures and witnessed baby sea turtles being released by the Sea Turtle Conservation staff onto the beach at night. It was a once-in-a-lifetime educational experience.

Beach Clean Up

We recognize the importance of protecting the beach that graces Acqualina’s shores and throughout our vibrant city. We organize regular beach clean-ups, bringing our team together to help preserve the natural beauty of our coastline.

The Community

Acqualina remains committed to supporting local educational initiatives and assisting families in need. Through our Back-to-School Drive benefiting H.O.P.E, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting struggling families, we contribute to educational resources. We have our Thanksgiving Food Drive benefiting the Broward Outreach Center and our annual Toy Drive to spread joy to the children at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

I Have a Dream Foundation

At Acqualina, our commitment extends beyond hospitality to the very heart of the community we serve. Since 1995, we have been deeply involved in a uplifting our community by founding the Miami Chapter of the I Have a Dream Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to empowering children from underprivileged backgrounds by equipping them with the essential skills, knowledge, and mindset required to pursue higher education.

The I Have a Dream Foundation assures our Dreamers access to academic tuition for a four-year degree at a Florida state university or an accredited trade school. Our program adopt an entire class of Dreamers from early elementary school in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, nurturing and guiding them throughout their education journey.

Sea Turtle Presentation

Our Acqualina Team had the pleasure of attending an informative Sea Turtle Presentation hosted by Miami Dade Parks & Recreation. We learned invaluable insights on how we can make a positive impact.

A special thank you to Sophia Brown who led the presentation. Together, let’s continue to protect our precious sea turtles.
