ART Collection and Cocktails in the AQ Bar
AQ Bar is home to an outstanding collection of art in partnership with Fine Art Mia. Guests can admire original masterpieces by famous American artists Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring and Jeff Koons and British contemporary artist Damien Hirst. With stunning décor and a buzzing atmosphere AQ Bar will offer a series of must-try art-inspired cocktails named after and themed around the original artworks such as Campbell Soup Mule with vodka, fresh lychee juice and ginger beer, Ladies & Gentlemen Fizz with cucumber & mint infused vodka and fresh key lime juice and Marilyn Monroe in White, which includes coconut infused tequila, jalapeno syrup and fresh lime & lemon juice.
On Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6 from 6pm to 8pm, AQ Bar will host two special evenings fusing art and music where guests can mix and mingle around original works while sipping creative cocktails and enjoying lively music.
Miami Art Week Workshop and Private Tours
In collaboration with Art Expert Betty Briceno of Couturista Travel, Acqualina is offering an art workshop and private guided tours to Art Basel, Design Miami and Untitled fairs.
On Monday, December 2 from 6pm to 7:30pm, Guide Betty will lead a workshop titled, “Mapping the Art World: Structures and Networks” and introduce the different players from museums and institutions to curators and writers. Held at Acqualina Resort and priced at $250 per person, guests will gain general knowledge about the networks, structure and terminology of today’s art world.
On Wednesday, December 4 from 2pm to 7pm, Betty will lead a VIP guided tour to the Vernissage openings (by invitation only) of Art Basel and Design Miami fairs. A second guided tour will be available on Sunday, December 8 from 10am to 6pm and include visits to Art Basel, Design Miami and Untitled fairs. Prices include one-way transportation leaving from Acqualina Resort, full-day guided tour and tickets to the select fairs. The December 4 tour is priced at $1200 per person while the December 8 tour is $700 per person. There is a maximum of 6 people per tour and reservations must be made at least one week prior to the tour date.

About Art Guide Betty Briceno
Betty Briceno is a curator at Couturista Travel developing and leading art-focused itineraries in Miami. She holds a master’s degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and has a postgraduate diploma in Cultural Management and Museum Studies from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
