Oleta State Park

Drive past the ranger station and through the gates of Oleta River State Park and a feeling of tranquility washes over you as you enter a quiet world of tangled, tidal mangroves in this protected river estuary. Considered Florida’s largest urban park, it encompasses 1,033 acres of green space set against Biscayne Bay, ideal for kayaking, biking, hiking, swimming and camping. Oleta River State Park also hosts events throughout the year that showcase South Florida’s love of nature.

Miami Beach Botanical Garden

The Miami Beach Botanical Garden is a 2.6‐acre urban greenspace in Miami Beach, Florida founded in 1962. It was transformed in 2011 with a $1.2 million landscape renovation designed by South Florida landscape architect Raymond Jungles. 
This urban oasis features subtropical plants from all around the 
world, unusual palms and South Florida native plants. 


Admission is free so stop by and see what’s in bloom! They offer frequent tours, events and educational programs.

Jungle Island

Lion Country Safari

Lion Country Safari is a drive‐through safari park and walk‐ through amusement park located on over 600 acres in Loxahatchee, in Palm Beach County, Florida. Founded in 1967, it claims to be the first ‘cageless zoo’ in the United States. In 2009,  USA Travel Guide named Lion Country the 3rd best zoo in the nation.

Zoo Miami

The Miami‐Dade Zoological Park and Gardens, also known as  Zoo Miami, is a zoological park and garden near Miami, and the  largest and oldest zoological garden in Florida.

The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, previously known as Villa  Vizcaya, is the former villa and estate of businessman James  Deering, of the Deering McCormick‐International Harvester  fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the present day Coconut Grove  neighborhood of Miami, Florida.

The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science

The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is a leading science museum dedicated to sharing the power of science, sparking wonder and investigation, and fueling innovation for the future. Located in Downtown Miami’s waterfront Museum Park, Frost Science is divided into four buildings: the Frost Planetarium, Aquarium, and North and West Wings. The Bass Museum

An international contemporary art museum in Miami Beach showcasing established artists who incorporate the local culture into their work. Much of the focus of the museum is education, and The Bass offers a special program teaching young children about creativity and personal growth through art. It opened its doors in 1964 and was the first public art exhibition space in South Florida. The facility is composed of a store, cafƩ, educational facility, and multiple galleries, which include temporary exhibits from artists from around the world, as well as a portion of the original Bass collection.

Museum of Contemporary Art

The facility presents work from newly discovered artists, examines the influence of masters in the space, and educates the public on the area’s culture. Eight to 10 exhibits come to the museum each year, including three galleries or multi‐media presentations from up‐and‐coming or experimental artists.  MOCA showcases these temporary exhibits throughout the year, as well as about 600 permanent works that live at the museum full time.
