Curated childcare by Itavi puts both children and parents at the forefront. An acronym for “it takes a village,” Itavi was born from Miami owner Ayana Rodriguez’s own challenges finding excellent childcare when she and her family traveled internationally. The solution was to create an innovative childcare service for parents who want anything from a quiet date night to skydiving adventures so their global, well-traveled children are just as entertained while they’re away for a few hours.
Carefully selected childcare providers are specially trained in the Itavi Method™, meet parents 15 minutes before the scheduled start-time, and lead children through dynamic programming that includes playtime, arts & crafts, movement, learning and reading. With a four-hour minimum and up to three children per $260 session, parents are given plenty of time for their own R&R. Reservations can be made directly on Itavi's website.
AquaMermaid
A fusion of synchronized and monofin swimming, the new AquaMermaid experience offers guests ages 7 and older a rare opportunity to learn how to swim like a mermaid. These one-hour sessions are a fairytale come true for children, as they master various moves and techniques.
For adults, it offers a fun and unique core workout. Classes take place at Acqualina’s Recreation Pool.
Additionally, we are offering “Swim with a Mermaid” for younger children ages 2 to 7 years old. Our mermaid will swim in the pool, lead games with the kids, and pose for photos.

Arts & Crafts
Painting Experience
Paint what you feel, not what you are told, the concept behind this class taught by Miami Artist Haena Chen Biton of Picnik or by one of her South Florida-based artists. Participants will learn how to sketch, mix acrylic paints, create depth and effects with paintbrushes, and explore color on an 11 x 17 canvas. Guests will enjoy a free-flowing abstract painting-inspired activity with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop, and leave with a beautiful work of art.
Each 1.5- to 2-hour Painting Experience is $75 per person, Sundays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the North Lawn. Reservations are essential and may be made through the concierge.
Learn to Swim
Swim season is year round in Miami. With our experienced instructor Oscar and his team from Miami Fitness, children will learn to master swimming skills in our Acqualina pools. Private instruction is offered for ages six months and older. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Available by appointment only, lessons are priced at $150 per hour.
Learn to Scuba Dive
Certified PADI instructors from Squalo Divers, a PADI Five Star Dive operation, will take water enthusiasts on a fantastic scuba experience and introduce an amazingly plentiful marine world in the warm, pristine waters of South Florida. Guests can choose from three distinctive scuba programs. Costs range from $189 for a pool session to $799 for PADI certification.
Yacht Cruise
Enjoy a fun day on the water with the team from The Charter Agency. We have arranged for a private three-hour cruise for our Acqualina guests along the Intracoastal waterway with beautiful city views. The yacht experience includes: fresh fruit, mimosas, soft drinks, water and ice.

Photoshoots With Pipe
Capture your memories and special moments while staying at the beautiful Acqualina. Resident photographer Pipe Yanguas, a graduate of Milan’s Istituto Europeo di Design, is a “Photobiographer,” and approaches photo sessions around the Acqualina property – or off-site — by capturing a family’s joy, their essence, their mutual love and their passion authentically and in the moment. He uses natural lighting and the photo shoot setting will be selected according to your preference.
Rates start from $700 and a photo book is provided with select packages.
