Acqualina Resort Brings Families Together with the Acqualina Family Olympic Competition
MIAMI, May 18, 2026 — Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach closed out its landmark 20th anniversary weekend on Sunday, May 17, 2026 with a spirited Family Olympic Competition held on the resort’s Great Lawn, a fitting tribute to two decades of welcoming generations of families to its shores.
Families gathered for an afternoon of friendly rivalry, teamwork, and joyful connection. Young children were divided into Team White and Team Red, a nod to Acqualina’s iconic signature color, and invited to make the moment their own from the start: designing custom team 20th anniversary T-shirts, assembling decorated team posters, crafting team chants, and receiving their official team hats.
Led by the Miami Fitness Connection team, the competition unfolded across a series of engaging challenge stations on the Great Lawn Tent. The energy and excitement were electric as young competitors gave their all at every turn. An Obstacle Course tested individual speed and agility to earn team points. A Giant Cup Stacking Game challenged participants to build and dismantle pyramid formations under the clock. A Larger-Than-Life Memory Game brought a beloved classic to human scale. And the Beach Ball Relay Challenge brought the afternoon to a high-energy, laughter-filled close, with each team racing to pass Acqualina-branded red and white striped beach balls with their parents erupting in cheers.
Prizes were awarded to both first and second-place teams, and all participants received a commemorative gift to mark the occasion. A dedicated photo opportunity area allowed families to capture the memory in Team Red and Team White.
The event was a reflection of what Acqualina has always been at its heart: the place where families return, year after year. As the resort marks twenty years in Miami, the Family Olympic Competition served as a reminder that the greatest luxury of all is time spent together.
