Acqualina Spa Elevates Ritual Flow With The Power Of Cold
MIAMI, January 19, 2026 ā Acqualina Spa, the wellness sanctuary at Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach, introduces its newest and most invigorating enhancement: Cold Plunge, a transformative addition to the spaās signature Ritual Flow experience.
Both primal and modern, cold plunge therapy is rooted in ancient bathing traditions and validated by contemporary science. Through controlled immersion in chilled water, the body is awakened and rebalanced, stimulating circulation, reducing inflammation, accelerating muscle recovery, and regulating the nervous system. As the body adapts to the cold, a surge of endorphins follows, leaving guests feeling clear-minded, energized, and profoundly renewed.
The Cold Plunge is a cornerstone of The Ritual Flow, Acqualina Spaās self-guided contrast therapy journey, included with all spa services. Guests are invited to move through a progression of heat, steam, and cold, each phase designed to amplify the benefits of the next:
The Ritual Flow Experience
Finnish Sauna with Himalayan Salt (10ā15 minutes): Dry heat melts away tension and encourages detoxification, while mineral-rich salt air supports respiratory health and skin vitality.
Cold Plunge (30 secondsā2 minutes): A brisk, exhilarating immersion awakens circulation, reduces inflammation, sharpens mental clarity, and resets the nervous system.
Crystal Steam Room (5ā10 minutes): A luminous steam envelops the body, hydrating the skin, easing stress, and deepening relaxation.
Arctic Ice Fountain: The ritual concludes as guests gather crushed ice in a towel and gently pat the face and body, refreshing the skin, calming inflammation, and sealing in the benefits of the contrast therapy with an invigorating finish.
Between rounds, guests are encouraged to pause, rest, and rehydrate, allowing the body to fully absorb each phase of the ritual. The sequence may be repeated two to three times, creating a highly personalized wellness journey that is as restorative as it is energizing.
With the introduction of the Cold Plunge experience, Acqualina Spa continues to redefine luxury wellness, where ancient wisdom, modern science, and indulgent design converge to deliver transformative results.
Cold Plunge Therapy is not recommended for guests with certain medical conditions, including cardiovascular concerns, uncontrolled blood pressure, pregnancy, or cold hypersensitivity. Guests are advised to consult a medical professional if needed and to discontinue use if discomfort occurs.
The 20,000-square-foot, two-story Acqualina Spa features 11 multi-functional treatment rooms and an extravagant Royal Spa Suite for two, multiple saunas, an alluring crystal steam room, an arctic ice fountain, separate womenās and coed relaxation areas, along with the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful outdoor terrace complete with a spa pool, heated jet pool, and Roman waterfall ā all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.
